PUMA Classes being offered this Lenten Season:

 

"Great Things He Has Done" with Pastor Jim Todd

All participants are encouraged to stay for the free

community meal that takes place after Bible study!

Healings, meal provision, peace-making, restoring

life to the dead: the incredible cycle of wonder stories

of the prophet Elisha in the early chapters of II Kings

invite astonishment, faith, hope, obedience, worship,

and service! In a curious way, they foreshadow the

remarkable ministry of Jesus of Nazareth....and the

Church which follows him. This study, produced by

our new District Superintendent, includes video teaching

and scripture study. 

 

“The Greatest Hits of John and Charles Wesley: Methodist

Holiness in the 18th and 21st Centuries” with Rev. Bill Kuntze

(contact: wjkuntze@gmail.com or 484-894-3868 

Thursdays 6:00-7:00pm, for 6 weeks, March 7th-April 11th. (The

first class, on March 7th, may last until 7:15PM.)  Smugglers Cove

Restaurant (2972 PA-611, Tannersville). Participants can eat during

or after the class, or not, as they wish.  A discussion of 2 hymns by

Charles Wesley and 1 sermon by John Wesley each week. All course

materials (and a folder of extra great hits) is available in .pdf format

at the below linkAlternately, the hymns are in the UM Hymnal and

the sermons are in many libraries, church libraries and

pastors’ studies. All participants should read the assigned hymns and

sermon before the class session, and bring a copy to use during discussion.
